What is the IP67 waterproof rating?

IP67 Standard:

IP67 refers to the protection safety level. IP stands for "Ingress Protection" (or "International Protection Code"), which defines the interface protection against liquids and solid particles.

IP is followed by two digits. The first is the solid-state protection level, ranging from 0-6, indicating protection from large particulate matter to dust. The second is the liquid protection level, ranging from 0-8, respectively representing protection against vertical droplets to bottom pressure. The larger the number, the more powerful the function. This standard describes a system used to classify the protection levels of electrical equipment enclosures. Proposed by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, the protection levels of electrical equipment enclosures are divided into many categories, and according to different numbers, the protection level of the product can be quickly and easily determined.

I. Protection level (the first digit in the code)

0 No protection.

1 Protection against solid particles with a diameter of 50mm or larger; the tip of a solid particle or a solid particle with a diameter of 50mm cannot completely penetrate.

2 Protection against solid particles with a diameter of 12.5mm or larger; the tip of a solid particle or a solid particle with a diameter of 12.5mm cannot completely penetrate.

3 Protection against solid particles with a diameter of 2.5mm or larger; the tip of a solid particle or a solid particle with a diameter of 2.5mm cannot completely penetrate.

4 Protection against solid particles with a diameter of 1mm or larger; the tip of a solid particle or a solid particle with a diameter of 1mm cannot completely penetrate.

5 Dust protection: It cannot completely prevent dust from entering, but it will not affect the normal operation of the instrument and reduce safety.

6 Dustproof: Dust cannot enter the entire diameter of the object cannot exceed the gap of the shell.
